North Wind Services is actively seeking individuals who can contribute to national security within the science, technology, and engineering fields as part of our supplemental labor team at vital federal research and development installations supporting the Department of Energy. Essential Duties:
- Support the strategic direction for integrating the work control-related requirements, processes, and procedures into the institutional maintenance processes; prioritize the requirements and processes based upon Institutional impact and apply project management principles to create and execute projects that implement the strategy.

- Drive institutional changes in existing maintenance, facility management, or technical asset management processes necessary to support effective and efficient implementation of work control.

- Partner with stakeholder organizations in multiple advisory and working group committees to resolve technical and organization barriers to effect implementation of work control requirements and continuous improvement efforts.

- Participate in standing Stakeholder Advisory Groups, Work Groups, and other necessary forums, and serve as the liaison between WP&C and partnering organizations.

- Manage and facilitate the periodic update of user guides, supplemental procedures, and other job aides to ensure participants in the Maintenance Planning process develop proficiency.

- Train and mentor Laboratory staff members to ensure work control requirements are consistently implemented.

- Collaborate with the WP&C Office Team in the modification of related institutional requirements, processes, and governance documents.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, ES&H or related field or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.

- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and to apply project management principles to organize, coordinate, sequence, and accomplish work.

- Experience working independently as well as closely with all levels of management.

- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and/or Computer Maintenance Management System work management modules.

- Excellent facilitation and leadership skills necessary to lead and facilitate multi-disciplinary teams of technical experts through technical discussions, including conflict resolution skills necessary to resolve differing opinions.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical or operational information.

- Proficient in establishing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and tracking/filing systems to efficiently organize and manage information.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

- Knowledge of technical work with extensive nuclear and/or explosive safety/safety basis requirements.

- Experience applying various Human Performance Improvement tools for both individuals and work teams, (e.g., procedure use and adherence).

Special Requirements:

Pre-Placement Medical Exam: A job related pre-placement medical examination may be required.

Anticipated Clearance Level: Q (position will be cleared to this level).
