North Wind Dynamics, LLC is an Alaska Native-owned Small Disadvantaged Business, specializing in infrastructure support services and facilities maintenance, base operating services, waste management, radiological services, security control, force protection, environmental services, janitorial services, professional, administrative, and management services.

POSITION PURPOSE:

In this role, the Business Manager will lead and oversee critical business functions within a multi-million dollar infrastructure support program. Key responsibilities include managing finance and accounting, contract administration, and supply chain management. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, ensure compliance and contribute to strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the contract, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Developing and implementing financial strategies to optimize the contract's financial performance.
  • Collaborating with Program Manager and key government stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial plans with project objectives.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services, while also mitigating supply chain risks and optimizing inventory management.
  • Ensuring adherence to contractual terms and conditions, while also conducting regular audits to monitor compliance and mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing risk and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Overseeing contract billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Leading and supervising a team of finance, accounting, contracts, and purchasing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as Key Management personnel on the contract and serve as a primary interface for government management personnel.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within the federal government contracting industry.
  • Recent experience serving as a Business Manager of an infrastructure services contract, or portfolio of contracts, totaling $30M+ annually.
  • Proven experience managing a geographically diverse workforce.
  • Experience managing a wide range of diverse professions (i.e. scientists, engineers, technicians, foreman, mechanics, etc.)
  • DOE experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive understanding of federal government contracts and subcontracts
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supply chain operations.
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and fit in with company culture and processes
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and values that are above-reproach

Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

  • PMP

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standard office environment.
  • Sedentary physical workload; must be able to exert up to a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; required to have a close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading; specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, sitting, walking, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor working environment, Satellite office supporting projects within multiple contracts. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
